Day 30-33

Day 30 Mid afternoon

Rescue the Ironhammers, who were trapped dwarven miners

Orcs leave and are grateful.

Investigated the ancient human cult temple. The shiny black glass alcove tried to make the viewer go insane and those who prevailed were rewarded with gems and the potential of insanity.

Nim was made insane. Hikari got a giant gem. Black with swirling purple. Cendis a bright purple gem.

Day 31-32 travel to haven (dwarves slow party a bit)

Day 32 afternoon
The Ironhammers will make the party items back in Karn and asked for money to travel back there.
In the night Cendis flees for reasons unknown. He takes Velbinex’s cloak and leaves items for Nim.

Day 33 plan on leaving through the mountain path

Days 12-28
Sphinxes and Giants, and wolves, oh my!

Day 12-16

Travel to the Red Sands. Pass giant skeletons of ancient sand worms.
Find temple and ruined town in a rocky desert bowl.

Trick Sphinx, fight armour, find portal, get books from human times. Learn that it is the Temple of Githyara, saviour of this area.

Finish with temple. Get magical page from Zook and head back to town for when Zook will be done.

Day 16/17 Prep for travel. Find out that Zook could get the party to Stygia or at least the Nine Hells. Or they could use the portal they just found.

Alternatively, instead of risking travelling through 4 layers of Hell Zook found that Berroven true name exists in a physical form in this plane. he has located two of the 3 parts that Karn once used to harness Berroven’s power.

One is to the North and is guarded by Icingdeath, a white dragon. It lies past the icy gorge known as Hell’s Maw. The only way across which is using the rickety bridge called Death’s Gambit.

The second is to the South, somewhere near Norrimar or Thysserin.

They decide to head south, so Zook gives another stone so he can tell them once his research on the exact location is done.

DAY 17

The party heads south on Day 17

It takes a week to reach Haven, just south of the Karnnish lands. The party follows the land upward to top of the cliffs through Darkepass.

Day 24
At Haven, they reunite with Hikari, as he had come to Haven to fulfill some duties as a paladin of Torm.

The lands nearby are good lands for growing beets so Torm woshippers and farmers get along quite well here.

However, lands to the south had been raided by giants as of late. The Raven Keeper of Haven’s temple received word that a wealthy merchant had lost enough goods they were putting out a request for help to defend the trade road. To encourage help, they put a bounty on the heads of the Hill Giants in the area.

The party has taken on this quest and headed South to the giants’ stronghold. Torm followers had luckily mapped out exactly where it was.

Day 25-28 Travel to the Giants.

Days 28

Fighting giants and wolves. Travadel is badly wounded and will need to head back to town. This fight has made him reconsider adventuring as a lifestyle. Tekalo has also come to get the bounty but is working alongside the party.

After killing the chief the party regroups, barricades the doors and tries to rest for the evening. Unsure of what other creatures may be lurking within the walls of the stronghold. Unfortunately a Cloud Giant escaped, its whereabouts unknown.

Rested for the night.

Day 11

Day 11

  • Find the chapel at the top of the cliff. It has a great statue of the Flamebringer on top of it. This statue points to the temple
  • Go to temple. The temple is covered with dry coral and algae. Magic does not work in it.
  • Find stuff in temple. Flame brooch, Dragon & Human copper statues, etc.
  • There’s a windstorm
  • In the basement the party finds and disarms a strange, mechanical cube that seems to be creating an anti-magic field.
  • The circle in the temple is also damaged, a great crack cuts it in half, and it looks like it was no accident.
Day 9 and 10

Day 9

  • Retrieve polar bear. Leave pamphlet at Tabuk circle.
  • Travel south to a tavern. Cendis wishes to investigate a temple he’s heard of.
  • Others update Everspeak on the happenigns w/Zook and the temple. Zook’s work will take a week so they leave.

Day 10

  • The party encounters the great cliffs to the south of Karn. These cliffs mark the end of Karnnish control
  • Find a small oasis. Find basilisks nearby and kill them. Hikari is almost turned to stone.
  • Other party members catch up at this time
Day 8
  • Find icy crystal in center of Tabuk, the sunken city/undercity
  • Find secret hold in palace with treasures (magic items, gold, a journal)
  • Nim finds a Gnomish Driftglobe
  • Melt icy crystal and uncover Anratu
  • Nim and Hikari TP to temple, Anratu can’t due to dimensional shackle, party is split.

What will they do? How will they meet up? Will Anratu be an ally or an enemy?


The party discovers that Anratu was unable to teleport due to his dimensional shackles. These were placed upon him by Berroven, the Ice Devil. Berroven is a devil from the 5th layer of the Nine Hells. The 5th layer is Stygia, a realm of ice.

The party finds some books, and talks to a librarian.

  • Go to the Wizards’ Guild and ask for Zook, the planar fellow of the guild.
  • TP to the temple and back
  • Zook is prepared to do research about Berroven and how to either get to Stygia or how to get the Ice Devil to come to them.

Anratu meanders the city learning about what has changed. When the party retruns to Tabuk town square he is not to be found (this is around dinner time)

Day 7
  • Explore industrial district and slums. Looking for entrance to sewers to hopefully find the teleportation circles from old city.
  • Twinbeard is friendly to Vax. Has tunnel to sewers, one way which includes a mysterious door
  • Go kill dwarf mage and rust monster
  • Hikari works on converting pair of gnomes
  • Enter gates of Old City (Tabuk)
  • Rest after that
Day 6
  • Go to Karn/Norrimar meeting to discuss trade route
  • Get info during meeting
  • Find out Shi’darra has trade with Karn already. Perhaps worried about competition?
  • Nim buys Wavecutter from weapon merchant
  • Hikari does some good deeds
  • Find plans
Day 5
  • Investigation
  • Cendis and the Vault
Day 4 - ???

Something happened, don’t have notes. Talking to the Hilltopple’s men to investigate or something?
